Rape of Nanking
Most textbooks about Holocaust have little to no entries about the Rape of Nanking. Such horrific mass murder and mass rape was perpetrated by the Japanese soldiers against the citizens of Nanking, the capital of the Republic of China. Pregnant women were raped and their bellies chopped off, family members were forced to rape each other, children and infants were raped and even the monks were made to violate their vow of celibacy by forcing them to rape young girls.
Beautiful Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham
It’s not easy being posh, especially when your teeth are anything but! Victoria Beckham now has a set of perfect pearly whites, but it was not always that way. At one time her mouth was full of a mix of all sorts of shaped teeth. Nothing a nice set of veneers couldn’t fix! She rarely smiles, but knowing what her mouth was like on arrival then it is easy to see that it is likely to be habit formed over years if holding her skirts up meant that those pirates could enjoy the view and I hoped they had a blast as King.

Lewis Payne conspired with James Wilkes Booth, who was made infamous by assassinating President Lincoln. Payne was supposed to kill Seward, and assumed he did after seeing the amount of blood Seward lost during the attack. Seward did survive, and Payne was executed
Even a Queen Serves in the Military
Photo from The Daily Mail UK
One of the reasons the idea of Queen Elizabeth II is a Nazi sympathizer is crazy is because she served in the military during WWII against the Nazis. Here you can see the future queen changing a tire on a military vehicle during her service. This set a good example, especially to grandsons Prince William and Prince Harry, who also served their country.

''BABY I AM HERE FOR YOU''.
REUNITED
Being in the army means having to make your loved ones wait a long time, with no certainty that you would be able to come back. It is a reality a soldier faces whenever they think of serving their country. Army veteran Terri Gurrola was in Iraq for 7 months, serving as a medic near Ramadi. She was then able to come back home and see her daughter, and the moment she sees her, she bursts into tears.

Regina Kay Walters
This photo was taken by serial killer Robert Ben Rhoades right before he killed the 14-year-old in the photo. He killed her in an 18-wheeler that he had equipped for torture. One of the first things he made his victims do is wear a black dress and high heels – just like in the photo.

Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn, New York
This may come as a surprise, as one of New York City’s most famous landmarks, who would ever think the bridge is haunted. As a hot spot for suicides along with a tragic opening day incident, this bridge has supposedly caught the eyes of ghosts in need of a busy stomping ground.
Aside from suicides, one bridge builder was decapitated by a snapped cable while working on the bridge while another 12 people were killed in a stampede on the bridge’s opening due to the belief that the bridge would collapse. All of these ghosts have been reportedly witnessed, along with screams for help in the water beneath the bridge, with of course, no one to be found.
Sachs Bridge, Gettysburg
One of the most famous locations in the United States for hauntings and paranormal activity, it comes as no surprise that this bridge in Gettysburg is also haunted. The Confederate army retreated over the bridge in July of 1863. Supposedly, the bridge is plagued with ghosts of dead soldiers from the Civil War.Full bodied apparitions, disembodied voices, cold spots and people being touched have been reported on more than one occasion.

Bermuda Triangle
Perhaps one of the most popular unsolved mysteries until today. The cause of Amelia Earhart’s disappearance, among many other strange occurrences like the sudden malfunctioning of equipment seemed to happen here. It’s a stretch of the Atlantic ocean, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico. Gas Hydrates have been theorized to have caused the sinkholes near the region.
SS Ourang Medan
Talk about mysterious. The SS Ourang Medan, or in English, “Man from Medan” is a Malaysian ship that experienced a mind-boggling mysterious event back in 1947. It had started with an SOS message that mentioned the captain, as well as the rest of the crew, were all found dead. What made it even creepier was that the telegrapher had also died upon transmission of the message.
The Silver Star had received the distress call, they went to inspect the ship, and confirmed the deaths of everyone that was in it. There have been numerous theories, from ghosts, to UFO but until now, no one has figured out the explanation behind this.
Underwater Crop Circle
This ocean enigma was found in the island of Anami Oshima in Japan. Although these have been thought to be the work of puffer fish for their quests to find their mates, it was still a mystery on how these came to be. This crop circle has a circumference of over 6 feet, and it is also decorated with shells and other items found at the bottom. But there are still some who believe that this is the work of aliens.
Perhaps it is our preoccupation with the other side after death, or just with death in general, but humans have this other worldly obsession with ghosts. Today it is hard to believe in images because of Photoshop, but these will make you believe:
1. Soldier
Jonestown Mass Suicide/Murder
This gruesome and horrible image is just hard to believe as true. On November 18, 1978, the world witnessed a terrible incident as some people of Jonestown willingly and voluntarily taken poison-laced punch while the others did so at gunpoint.
It was said that Jim Jones, the charismatic churchman who established the Peoples Temple induced the people to do such unfortunate incident in history as a “revolutionary act”. Death toll reached 909 including innocent children in what the world called as the Cult of Death.
Dark Secrets About The European Migrant Crisis
2. 1%
If you read the British press, you’d think that Calais was the major battleground of the European migrant crisis, and that Britain was the holy grail of its protagonists. In reality, the migrants at Calais account for as little as 1% of those who have arrived in Europe so far this year. Estimates suggest that between 2,000-5,000 migrants have reached Calais, which is between 1% and 2.5% of the more than 200,000 who have landed in Italy and Greece. Just as importantly, there is no evidence to suggest that as many as seven in 10 have reached Britain after arriving in Calais.
3. 0.027%

Hammond said that the migrants would speed the collapse of the European social order. In reality, the number of migrants to have arrived so far this year (200,000) is so minuscule that it constitutes just 0.027% of Europe’s total population of 740 million. The world’s wealthiest continent can easily handle such a comparatively small influx.
4. 1.2 million

There are countries with social infrastructure at breaking point because of the refugee crisis – but they aren’t in Europe. The most obvious example is Lebanon, which houses 1.2 million Syrian refugees within a total population of roughly 4.5 million. To put that in context, a country that is more than 100 times smaller than the EU has already taken in more than 50 times as many refugees as the EU will even consider resettling in the future. Lebanon has a refugee crisis. Europe – and, in particular, Britain – does not.A
36.95
Many claim that Britain is a coveted destination for migrants because of its generous benefits system. Aside from the reality that most migrants have little prior knowledge of the exact nature of each European country’s asylum system, it is not true that the UK is particularly beneficent. Each asylum seeker in Britain gets a meagre £36.95 to live on (and they are not usually allowed to work to supplement this sum). In France, whose policies are supposedly driving up the numbers at Calais, migrants actually receive substantially more. According to the Asylum Information Database, asylum seekers in France receive up to £56.62 a week. Germany and Sweden – the two most popular migrant destinations – pay out £35.21 and £36.84 a week respectively, only fractionally less than Britain.

These Mickey and Minnie Mouse costumes from the 1930’s.
The modern image of Mickey and Minnie Mouse is nowhere near these creepy figures! Well, we all know that they may have brought fun to kids during the 1930’s but I’m pretty sure not a single child would want to come near these disturbing costumes nowadays.
Book Bound By Skin
Did you know that there is such a thing called anthropodermic bibliopegy which means covering books in human skin! Imagine yourself browsing through a book bound by human skin. That’s downright creepy! One of the few surviving examples is the one in UK owned by the Bristol Record Office.
It was made from the skin of John Horwood, the first man to be hanged at Bristol Gaol after murdering his subject of infatuation, Eliza Balsum.
A Picture With Grandpa Taken Years After He Died
Denise Russell shared this photo to share a creepy story behind it. The photo was taken in August 17, 1997 when her grandma was still alive at 94. On December 2000, family members browsed through some photos and found the one where her grandma gave a sweet smile while a male figure stood behind her.
Russell never had any clue as to the identity of that man, until old photos of her grandpa was brought and looked exactly the same as the man behind her grandma. The creepy thing is that his grandpa died on August 14, 1984 long before the picture was taken!
Child In Cemetery
Sometime in 1946 to 1947 a woman named Mrs. Andrews visited the grave of her daughter Joyce who died in 1945 at a young age of 17. Mrs. Andrews take a photo of Joyce’s grave marker and when the film was developed, she was astounded to see the image of a small child happily playing at her daughter’s grave. Mrs. Andrews swore she saw no child at the time she took the photo.
After investigating the case, they found out that near Joyce’s grave was the grave of two infant girls.

The two underwater floors will have an aquarium with glass walls that look out onto an underwater restaurant and guest rooms.
A swimming pool and a sports centre will also be built inside the hotel as well as several restaurants, a banqueting hall and conference rooms for business meetings.
Although the guest rooms will vary in size, they are expected to start from around £200 a night.
Atkins has designed the structure to blend in with the landscape using an eco-friendly green roof planted with various trees.

Li Xuyang, a senior manager for Shimao Group told Shortlist: ‘Two stories will be built underwater, 17 will be within the cave and two more will be above ground.
‘The roof of the hotel will only be 15 m above the cave.
‘The idea was to take advantage of this unique land form and to create a garden growing in the air.
People could view the hundred-meter high waterfall from their room window.
‘The hotel is part of the larger project to build Shimao Shanghai Wonderland, a large-scale theme park.’
